NEW MUSIC IN TRIBUTE TO EDGAR FROESE
The London Memorial Concert “Change of Cosmic Address”
With the sad passing of Tangerine Dream's Edgar Froese we wanted to mark the end of an era of innovative electronic music. Froese's style spanned the most evocative of ambient electronics to the rockiest guitar sounds, and all these styles are reflected in the album Change of Cosmic Address: New Music in Tribute to Edgar Froese.
Created by myself along with leading UK electronic musician Mark Jenkins, the album was launched and performed in part, along with other electronic music, at a unique event on Saturday April 11th 2015, 7.00pm at the Big Chill House, a couple of minutes' walk from King's Cross station in central London.
The Big Chill House provided an excellent convivial bar-style atmosphere for such a unique memorial event, and the free entry drew an audience from all over the UK and beyond.
The performance by myself and Mark, who played guitar on two of my tracks, featured an amazing stack of synths, sequencers and computers, and was followed by a chance for the audience to meet the performers, buy autographed CDs and talk to fellow fans of Edgar Froese and Tangerine Dream.

For my four tracks on the album I made extensive use of the Novation Xiosynth, Roland JV1080, Korg Micro Preset, Oberheim Mini Sequencer, Sequential Circuits Pro 1 and Roland TR-808. Recording was on Steinberg Cubase 7 running on an iMac.

Previously available only on cassette in limited quantitites, the albums Videospace, Fractal Visions, Fantômas and Industry are now available as downloads from Bandcamp. Also out now is TechnoFuture, a collection of unreleased material from the early '90s, inspired by Adamski, Baby Ford, Cabaret Voltaire and the like. Heavy on the Roland Bassline and TR-909! Lossless and MP3 versions are available and full artwork is included in the downloads.
